Brazil has recalled two of its most senior diplomats in Australia over sexual harrassement allegations.
Two senior Brazilian diplomats working in Sydney have been recalled over sexual harassment and bullying claims.
The Brazilian government has ordered Consul-General Americo Fontenelle and his deputy Cesar de Paula Cidade to return home following an internal investigation into allegations brought by their staff, AAP understands.
Brazil's Jornal Nacional reports the pair will face administrative hearings in Brasilia in the coming weeks.
The report says they were also accused of abusing their authority, racism and homophobia.
Fontenelle has been a diplomat for more than 35 years, with previous postings to the United States, Canada and Italy. The 59-year-old has been consul-general in Sydney since 2010.
Comment is being sought from the consulate and the Brazilian Embassy in Canberra.
